Q. Where do I go when I get to the First Baptist Church of Highland Park on October 19th?
The Symposium is taking place in the lower level of First Baptist Church of Highland Park. There is plenty of free parking and entry will be available from the back side of the building. Directional signage will also be provided that day.
Q. Do I have to register for the full day seminar or can I just attend one of the sessions?
We believe that attending both sessions will give participants a full perspective but, yes, you may attend only the morning or afternoon session if that’s all the time you have available.
Q. Do I need to register for a box lunch?
Yes, to give an accurate headcount to the caterer we request that attendees register for a box lunch in advance.
Q. Do I need to register in advance or can I register onsite?
To ensure we have adequate space for all attendees we ask that everyone register in advance. As well, CEU offerings require advanced registrations to ensure we have the adequate information for submitting to the Maryland Board of Social Work.
Q. Do I have to be a professional or licensed clinical social worker to attend the sessions that award CEU credits?
No, all are welcome at the CEU sessions but please be aware that the content focus will be more clinically based.

Q. Do I need to be a Prince George’s County resident to attend the symposium?
No, the symposium is open to everyone in our region who is interested in expanding their understanding and awareness of the many facets of serious illness and loss.
