Deborah McGlauflin is a Hospice of the Chesapeake Foundation team member as well as a hospice Vigil Volunteer. From 1994-mid-2013, through her consulting company Insights in Action, Inc., she provided training and technical assistance to scores of non-profit/non-governmental organizations and private and corporate funders around the world. Providing expertise in designing strategies to significantly boost their impact and effectiveness and find resources and partners to carry them out. Client engagements included Microsoft Asia-Pacific Community Affairs, the State Department Global Partnership Center, the U.S. Agency for International Development, and the World Cocoa Foundation. McGlauflin has extensive “niche” experience with crafting public-private partnerships, particularly in Asia. Prior to 1994, she worked as a fundraiser, program developer, and operations manager in several nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and Japan with focused experience with non-profit start-ups, including working with fiscal sponsors, founding boards and seed funders. She holds Master of Arts degree in East Asian Studies from the University of Hawaii/East West Center and a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies from Connecticut College.
